Why air-driven
Electric pumps spark. In a confined workshop with flammable vapour, that's a risk you don't take. Air diaphragm pumps eliminate ignition sources entirely. You can pump diesel, waste oil, or hydraulic fluid in close quarters without permits or exclusion zones. Plug in your shop air line and run.
Self-priming, no prep
Drop the suction hose into a drum, open the air valve, and it lifts. No foot valve. No hand-priming. Handles 3 metres of dry suction without fuss. When the drum empties mid-transfer, the pump just cycles air until you refill or shut it off. Won't seize, won't burn out.

What air pressure does it need?
Typical shop air supply at 6-8 bar will deliver rated flow. Lower pressure reduces output proportionally. Check your compressor capacity for continuous duty.
Can it handle dirty or contaminated oil?
Yes. Diaphragm design tolerates debris and sludge better than vane or gear pumps. Strain large solids upstream to protect the valves.
Will it run dry without damage?
Yes. Air diaphragm pumps are run-dry safe. The pump will stall or cycle empty without seizing. Resume flow when liquid returns.
