Which Pump Do I Need? - Pump Selection Guide
Step 1
What Fluid Are You Pumping?
Organize content into multiple columns to share useful information to your customers about your products, values...

Diesel
Vane pumps (12V/24V/240V) from 50–200lpm. The most common pump type. Choose voltage based on your power supply — 12V for portable, 240V for fixed site.

Oil & Lubricants
Pneumatic piston pumps (3:1 or 5:1 ratio). Requires compressed air at 6–8 bar. Available for drums, IBCs, and bulk tanks.

Grease
50:1 piston pumps for high-pressure grease dispensing. Drum and pail packages available. Requires compressed air.

AdBlue
Dedicated pumps with stainless steel wetted parts. 12V, 24V, and 240V. IBC kits and bulk transfer options. NEVER use diesel pumps for AdBlue.
Step 2
What Power Supply Do You Have?
Organize content into multiple columns to share useful information to your customers about your products, values...

12V DC
Best for: Vehicle-mounted, portable tanks, farm tanks, fuel trailers.
Flow rate: 40–85lpm typical.
Power source: Vehicle battery, standalone battery, solar.
No electrician needed.

24V DC
Best for: Heavy vehicles (trucks, buses) with 24V electrical systems.
Flow rate: 50–85lpm typical.
Power source: Vehicle battery.
Less common than 12V or 240V.

240V AC
Best for: Fixed-site installations with mains power. Depots, workshops, tank farms.
Flow rate: 56–200lpm typical.
Highest flow rates and best duty cycle.

Air / Hand
Best for: Oil, grease, and off-grid applications.
Air: 6–8 bar compressed air for piston and diaphragm pumps.
Hand: Rotary hand pumps for drums without power.
Step 3 — What Flow Rate Do You Need?

Adequate for refuelling one vehicle at a time. Typical for farm tanks, small construction sites, and portable setups. A 60lpm pump fills a 200L ute tank in about 3 minutes. Most 12V pump kits fall in this range.
Suits fleets of 5–20 vehicles where multiple vehicles refuel each day. Reduces queue time at the dispensing point. Typical for 240V vane pumps like the Piusi ST200 or Fill-Rite 300 Series.
For large fleets, truck depots, and mine site refuelling where throughput speed is critical. Requires 240V power, DN50 pipework, and high-flow nozzles (Elaflex ZVA 32). Piusi ST200 or engine-driven pump options.
Still not sure? Tell us your fluid type, tank model, and how you’ll use it — we’ll recommend the right pump. It takes 2 minutes and saves you buying the wrong gear.
