What pump ratio do I need for grease?
50:1 is the standard ratio for grease drum pumps. This provides the high pressure needed to push grease through hoses and fittings. Lower ratios (like those used for oil) cannot generate sufficient pressure for grease dispensing.
Can I use an oil hose reel for grease?
No. Grease hose reels use high-pressure hose rated to 400+ bar. Oil hose reels typically rate to 20-40 bar and will fail under grease pressures. Always use grease-specific hose reels.
What container sizes do grease pumps fit?
Grease pumps are available for 16kg pails, 180kg drums, and 200L containers. The pump adaptor and follower plate must match your container size — confirm before purchasing.
