Why breather filtration matters
Fuel tanks breathe. As temperature swings or fuel levels drop, outside air is drawn in through the vent. Without filtration, that air carries moisture, dust, pollen, and microbial spores straight into your stored diesel. Over weeks or months, water accumulates at the tank bottom, microbes multiply, and fuel quality degrades. The Donaldson Breather TRAP intercepts contamination before it reaches the tank.
Installation and service
Install inline on the tank breather vent using the 1/2 inch BSP female connection. The replaceable element traps particulate and adsorbs moisture as air passes through. Inspect quarterly in dusty or humid conditions; replace the element when saturated. Simple to access, straightforward to service in the field.
