Making Every Drop Count: Inside Livingstone Shire Council’s iFUEL Lite Upgrade - GO Fill

At GO Industrial, we’re always on the move, helping our partners streamline operations with the latest in fluid management technology. This week, our team — led by site electrician Adam and apprentice Josh — is out at Livingstone Shire Council for a comprehensive Fuel Management System (FMS) upgrade.

What’s New on Site?

The upgrade centres on the installation of the iFUEL Lite Online terminal, housed in a durable, weatherproof stainless steel cabinet. It’s a step-change for council fleet efficiency, offering:

  • Secure access: drivers use a unique PIN and asset number to authorise the pump, so every drop is accounted for.
  • Real-time tracking: integrated 4G communication syncs data to the iFUEL Cloud, allowing instant monitoring of fuel consumption by vehicle or driver.
  • Advanced hardware: a new 3,000 L self-bunded petrol tank fitted with a high-performance pump, filter, and pulse meter. The pulse meter uses internal gearing to count pulses per litre for pinpoint accuracy.
  • Tank gauging: an O.L.E. Tank Gauging Cabinet enables local and remote monitoring of both petrol and diesel levels, eliminating the need for manual dipping.

Why It Matters

For a busy council, “making every drop count” isn’t just a slogan — it’s about budget accountability and operational uptime. By automating data capture, Livingstone Shire Council can reduce manual reporting errors, prevent fuel theft, and simplify their tax credit claims.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to power the infrastructure that keeps our communities moving.
