Fuelling the Frontline: Ampol and GO Industrial Power the Aussie Masters Surf Lifesaving Championships - GO Fill

The 2026 Aussie Masters Surf Lifesaving Championships at Kirra Beach were a showcase of skill, community, and the legendary Aussie spirit. Ampol, a long-time supporter of surf lifesaving, was once again on hand to make sure the event ran smoothly - but they didn’t do it alone.

Jason Tarantino, Sales Manager for Ampol Petroleum Distributors, highlighted the vital role of GO Industrial in keeping the frontline fuelled. From jet skis and IRBs (Inflatable Rescue Boats) to beach buggies and the generators that kept the lights on, GO Industrial’s self-bunded fuel tanks were the silent workhorses of the event.

Innovation in Action: Solar-Powered Solutions

One of the standout features of GO Industrial’s service was the use of solar-powered fuel tanks. It meant event organisers didn’t need to worry about external power, or the logistics (and hazards) of fuel trucks constantly moving in and out of a busy event area.

“Reliability is 100% of what we need. Ampol prides itself on quality products and solutions, and we need that from all our suppliers. Having GO Industrial as a reliable partner has made it easier, and gives us the confidence to know that when things go wrong, we’ve got the support we need.”

— Jason Tarantino, Sales Manager, Ampol Petroleum Distributors

Whether it’s the iconic beaches of the Gold Coast or community events like “Lights on the Hill,” Ampol and partners like GO Industrial are committed to giving back and supporting the organisations that make Australia great.

Next time you see a surf rescue team in action, remember the infrastructure and partnerships that keep them moving - powered by innovation, community, and the drive to keep the frontline fuelled.
