No. The Viscomat 60/2 is rated for oil only — engine oil, hydraulic oil, gear oil, and ATF up to 2000 cSt. For diesel transfer use a dedicated diesel pump like the Piusi PB1 series. For petrol you need an ATEX-rated pump.
What cable do I need to run it?
Order the 4m Piusi cable kit (SKU F1003900A) alongside the pump. It's a battery-to-pump kit with crocodile clamps, an inline fuse, and ring terminals — the same kit Piusi specifies for the 24V Viscomat.
Can it run continuously?
No. The duty cycle is 30 minutes on then 30 minutes off to let the DC motor cool. For continuous-duty oil transfer you need a 240V AC pump like the Viscomat 90M or 200/2.
What's the maximum suction lift?
Around 2 metres without a foot valve, or 3 metres with a foot valve fitted on the suction line. Mounting close to the fluid source improves prime time and flow stability.
Will it handle gear oil and hydraulic oil in cold weather?
Yes, but flow rate drops as viscosity climbs. The 2000 cSt rating gives you headroom for SAE 90 gear oil and 68-grade hydraulic oil at typical Australian workshop temperatures.
