The EX100 carries II 2 G Ex d IIA T4 Gb certification - the same hazardous-area rating you need for petrol bowsers, marine bunkering wharves, and aviation ground support. Cast-iron pump body, sintered-steel rotor, technopolymer vanes, and Viton seals are spec'd to handle the harshest hydrocarbons in continuous service. UL version available for North American projects.

1035W single-phase motor, 100 lpm with no thermal cut-off
Most ATEX pumps in this class are S1 (intermittent) duty - run them more than 30 minutes and the thermal cuts in. The EX100 runs all day. 1035W induction motor at 1450 RPM delivers a steady 100 lpm under load, with thermal protection for genuine fault states only. The 1-1/4" inlet keeps suction restriction low even with longer runs from underground tanks.

Contact UsIs the EX100 legal to use with petrol in Australia?
Yes. ATEX II 2 G certification is recognised under AS/NZS 60079 for hazardous-area equipment, which is what AS 1940 references for petrol storage and transfer. Always confirm zone classification with your safety officer.
Can I run AVGAS or Jet A through it?
Yes for the pump and a compatible flow meter. The Piusi datasheet notes that for aviation fuels (AVGAS 100/100LL, Jet A/A1) only the pump and flow meter are certified - downstream filters, hoses, and nozzles must be selected for aviation use separately.
What's the difference between the EX100 and the Panther EX 56?
The EX100 doubles the flow (100 vs 56 lpm), runs continuous duty rather than S1, and has a 1-1/4" inlet vs 1" inlet. Both are ATEX Zone 1 rated. EX100 suits high-throughput refuelling and aviation; EX 56 suits drum and IBC transfer.
Does it come with a hose, meter, or nozzle?
No. The EX100 is sold as a pump head only. For complete kits, contact us and we'll spec ATEX-rated K700 meter, A120 nozzle, and matched hose options.
What ATEX zones is it rated for?
Zone 1 and Zone 2 gas atmospheres. The full marking is II 2 G Ex d IIA T4 Gb, suitable for installations where flammable vapours may be present in normal operation.
How does it self-prime?
The EX100 will dry-prime up to 2 m without a foot valve, or 4 m with a non-return valve fitted on the suction line. Maximum total suction-plus-delivery head is 6 m.
