THE CALIBRATION PROCESS
1. Pre-calibration test — Flow rate and accuracy measurement against NATA-calibrated proving measure
2. Meter adjustment — Mechanical or electronic adjustment to NMI tolerances
3. NATA verification — Three consecutive proving runs within tolerance using calibrated test equipment
4. Certificate issuance — NMI-compliant calibration certificate with meter details, test results, and next-due date
5. FMS reconciliation — Volume reconciliation between meter totaliser and fuel management system
