Common Questions
Do I need special equipment for diesel?
Diesel is a C1 combustible liquid (not flammable) under AS1940, so it doesn't require ATEX/EX-rated equipment in most configurations. Standard pumps, meters, and nozzles rated for diesel are suitable. The main considerations are flow rate, power supply, and filtration quality.
What's the minimum setup I need to dispense diesel from a tank?
At minimum you need a pump, a length of hose, and a nozzle. We recommend adding a flow meter for volume tracking and a fuel filter for engine protection. A complete pump kit bundles all of these together.
Can I use the same equipment for diesel and petrol?
No. Petrol requires ATEX/EX-rated equipment due to its flammable classification. Standard diesel pumps, meters, and nozzles are NOT safe for petrol. If you handle both fuels, you need separate, dedicated equipment for each.
Need a complete diesel dispensing setup?
Tell us your tank model and flow rate requirement — we'll recommend the right pump, meter, filter, and nozzle combination.
